Find out what people have to say about Serondella
Our family stayed at Serondella for 4 nights in August 2022 and we looooooooved it. It’s such a magical place. From the moment we arrived the Serondella family made us feel at home. We were greeted by the full team singing and dancing and spoiled for the remainder of our stay with drinks, amazing tasty & healthy food and overall, genuinely warm, interested staff.
Serondella has excellent game viewing; we saw the big five in one drive! Highlights were a leopard being chased by hyenas, lions munching away on a recent kill, plenty of elephant, also at the waterhole near the lodge, two cheetahs on the hunt and overall very high biodiversity.
Whilst the game viewing was our primary reason to visit, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. There is a small, but fully equipped gym (pretty nice to burn some calories given the amazing food), excellent massages and I booked a yoga session out on the deck with a magnificent view. Our kids, aged 9 and 12, were enrolled in the junior tracker programme; specially designed booklets informed them of the various animals, big and small, their footprints, dung and other need-to-know facts for jr rangers. They also went out on a morning walk to put all they learned into practice.
Serondella is an intimate game reserve and offers a small-group luxury experience with less than 20 beds. The Reserve was recently renovated, and it looks amazing. We stayed in Willem’s Den, a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom lodge with a private dipping pool. The layout is well thought out, fully equipped with brand new facilities, offering a place to relax in between drives. The main lodge also offers places to relax, either out on the deck around the pool or around the fireplace. All in all, we will definitely come back!
